JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) - The 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship opened to the public on Wednesday.

Fans got the chance to play alongside professional golfers who are competing at the Country Club of Jackson this week. Organizers said 52 Pro-Am participants competed on Wednesday.

Greg Morgan, one of the participants, said he's looking forward to another great day like the one he had in his practice round earlier in the week.

“It makes you feel like a pro when you get here. You know, they treat us so well, and everybody does a great job of just catering to the to the golfers. So, the course is outstanding. They're great, great hosts, and we look forward to not not messing up the course for them for this weekend," Morgan said.

The professional competition will tee off just after 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 3.
