MADISON, Miss. (WJTV) - A woman celebrated her 100th birthday in Madison on Saturday.
Sarah Bennett's children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and others helped her celebrate the special day. She also received a proclamation from Governor Tate Reeves (R-Miss.).
Bennett said she's thankful for the Lord.
"I just thank Him for everything. So good to me and my family, my friends, my church family, children, all of them. I thank the Lord for them. I wouldn't want it no other way," she said.
The Madison Board of Supervisors will present Bennett with a proclamation at their meeting on Monday, November 4.
